Is there WiFi?
Yes, the network name you’re searching for is: EBBA and there is no password required.
Is there mobile phone signal?
Yes, some phone networks can achieve signal at the cabin. For those who don’t, to receive and make calls and texts, we recommend enabling ‘WIFI calling’ on your phone.
Is there a road nearby?
Ebba sits just off a country lane in a very rural area, where passing vehicles are few and far between.
Is the lake private?
Yes, access around the lake is exclusively yours.
How far away is the car park?
Ebba is just 1 minutes’ walk on flat ground from your car.
Where is the closest shop?
The town of Hay-on-Wye is approximately 15-minutes drive away, hosting an array of independent shops, restaurants and delis.
Are children allowed?
Our cabin is designed for ultimate adult relaxation. Some of our unique features may pose a risk to young children and therefore children are only permitted at the guests own risk and must be supervised at all times. We do not provide any facilities for children such as cots.
Can I drink the water?
Yes, you can drink the water. It’s purified spring water from the Lower Glasnant Estate.
What products do you use?
Faith in Nature supplies our vegan and cruelty-free toiletries, they contain zero nasty chemicals, and have a sensational 100% natural fragrance. We use Ecover washing up liquid and sanitiser.
Where are the bed sheets from?
Our linen bedding is supplied to us by Ada & Ina Natural Fabrics.
Where can I get more logs?
You’ll find additional logs near the car park. They are charged at a cost price of £15 per section. We will calculate your additional wood usage after your stay and automatically take payment from your stored card and we will send you a receipt. We kindly ask that you do not leave cash.
Is there a Recycling Bin?
Your recycle bin can be found outside, on the deck. Before leaving we do ask that you sort your waste and recycling into the appropriate site bins, located in the carpark.
How do I turn on the towel radiator?
The towel radiator is programmed to come on for a few hours in the morning, and again in the evening. If you want to dry your towel at any other time, you can boost the towel rail in 30 minute increments using the control panel, which can be found behind the leather arm chair.
How do I operate the radiator?
Tap the control buttons with a light touch, using the pad of your finger. Turn Off/On using bottom right button. - it beeps once and displays a temperature when it's turned on and when it's turned off it beeps twice and blinks '00:00'. The temperature can be increased using the + or -. To reset it, turn it off and back on again at the plug located to the left of the radiator.
